Unchained Index: A Purposefully Designed Schelling Point: A native Web3 API

The Unchained Index smart contract, part of TrueBlocks, acts as a purposefully-designed Schelling Point, creating a decentralized, permissionless store for blockchain index data. In this talk, we generalize the Unchained Index to show it can serve as a repository for other datasets such as event signatures and address labels. We contend we can replace costly APIs with a robust, reproducible public good, enhancing data accessibility & decentralization.

Thomas Rush is the founder of TrueBlocks.io, a blockchain-focused software company delivering fast, accurate data from the blockchain. Rush is a three-time recipient of Ethereum Foundation grants, a Moloch DAO grant recipient, an active community member, and a founder of the Philadelphia Ethereum Meetup group. In a former life, Rush taught undergraduate writing. Rush holds a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry from Rosemont College and a Master in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania.

Meriam Zandi, alongside her fellow partners, sold their institutional investment consulting business to
Goldman Sachs in 2019. Since 2020 she is a retired alumnus of Goldman Sachs. Meriam actively
contributes to grant proposal writing and addresses incoming queries. She resides with her husband
and children in Philadelphia, PA, USA.
